Did you know that the term African-American is especially used to


refer to blacks living in North America? Other terms are sometimes

used to refer to African-Americans from a particular locality, such as

Afro-Brazilian or Afro-Jamaican. Many African Americans are in jail

right now waiting for the day they will see the light that the sky

with no limits has to offer. Many people in society only recognized

the population of African American that are in jail than people are in

college, there are nearly more African Americans in prison than

actually in college or even a Vocational School. It saddening me that

people talks about the negatives and not the positives in what African

Americans today’s World have done. There are generally two million

African Americans Males and Females combined that graduate from

college each year. There are less Africans Americans going to HBCU

than going to traditional college where you will see other than your

own race and different Minorities.

Education is also becoming a problem due to the amount of

success that famous people receive and also the unlimited income that

they are known to rack up. Many people are forging college and

reaching for the stars to become rich and famous. But the one thing

they do not know is that Education will get you there sooner. Instead

of looking to be the next rapper or singer that should spend that time

in working on getting a higher education. Try to work in the inside of

the business and work towards getting your goals accomplish. The

reason why many blacks are forgoing college is because they think the

road to fame easy but little do they know that it takes a lot of work

and determination. They never stop and think that you can internship

at a Record Company you can Internship at Film production Company.

Getting an higher Education beyond high school is an advantage not an

disadvantage and can help you in many ways. Most people waste and use

there whole lives trying to be famous and yet have no talent (this

might not describe to you) but people need to wake them up and tell

them the truth about themselves instead of having them chase the

dreams that they can not accomplished.

Unemployment rate is higher that ever now than ever, Given that

thought that should give people the power and strength to enroll in a

community college or University. They even have college online for

people who find it hard to go to a campus every day. College is

affordable in many ways there are many scholarships and Grants

Available to anybody no matter what there financial situation is or

there academic background. There are other options besides taking out

a loan which you will have to pay back. If a loan is your only option

after you have done scholarship search and grants from financially aid

than only take what is needed and not what you want. Remember it is

money that you have to pay back, unlike Grants and Scholarships that

you don’t have to back.

Other Leading problems towards African Americans are the leading

source of Heart Disease, Cancer and Cerebrovascular Disease (Stroke)

that are towards the masses with African Americans. The Reason for

this could be the lack of health education in Black Families and also

the real meaning of what you should do to main healthy in high school

and beyond such as colleges and University’s they should study more on

the awareness of health issue’s towards African Americans and the

problems and why they are cause and use hands on study’s on nutrition

and weight problems and what will happen to you if you do this or

that.

Many Blacks in General need to be more aware of the health cautions

that are causing many deaths and health problems among us. Mainly

Because Many African Americans in today’s Society use some form of

drugs, tobacco, prescription drugs and other sorts of illegal drugs.

These are the many causes that affect the health of African Americans

of this day and age. Many people who live down South eat soul food

that is the main cause of cholesterol problems and also diabetes. The

use to salt and greasy food such as fast food restaurants and chicken

can cause cholesterol problems and maybe even a heart attack toward

older people.

America could use more African American men doing Mentorships helping

the young males in the intercity or in generally have there own voice

and teach them how to be successful. Many young people look up to

people television what they need is somebody personally to give them

the guidance to stay in school and to work a regular job instead of

selling drugs’ If there were more positive African Americans men

doing work in the community helping people there will be lest crime

and education drop out rates. Many young people need voice to hear in

order to go in the straight path to success. Many young males fail in

society because of the lack of Mentorship of the many positive

successful men. They need the voice they need to the help because if

there not going to do there not going to get the real deal on how the

real world works. They get so stuck inside the television box that

they get Unrealistic thought and negative doings through songs. What

they don’t know is the many of the songs I for show. They should put

there focus that put in listening music and writing music lyrics more

into their studies.



There are so many African American influential people portraying

wrong images in the media rather is something beyond positive or

arrogance At in later news some people call certain artist devil

worshippers . By Devil Worshippers I mean artist who songs represent

some songs that are in a wrongful act and that some artist should be

singing this kind of song due to young kids and teens alike listen to

these songs and might do what they hear. People actually look up to

this artist and for this artist to sing and to represent something

negative in there video and music is not good. These days its all

about how fast your album rise up the charts so have your song about

a particular wrong doing might get you some expected and unexpected

attention some good and some bad. People have the right to listen to

whatever they want to listen to but I think its would be nice if we

have more positive role models out there more positive celebrities out

there who could show people that life is worth living rather than

filling people head up with these false images of what life should be

and then soon when somebody tries to contradicted themselves and try

to do what they see. Then some pops ups in their face and it is called

a reality check.

It’s a struggle to stay positive and it’s not a struggle to stay

negative. It may make you feel better to hat e and to be deceitful and

to bash on people but you’re really not going to get nothing out of

the situation but messing up your own well being. African American of

these generation are breaking records and are defiantly at no surprise

are making history. Some people might think there life is easy but

what happens in the inside well surprise you condemn you and most of

all get you to see that whoever you are that your life is not that

glamorous as it seems.
